Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment owns and operates the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ and the Winners OTW in Bayonne, NJ.

Naomi Road served as financial advisor to the successor racetrack operator during the course of a 3-year tumultuous privatization. In particular, Naomi Road:

• Analyzed existing state-run operations and financial data
• Co-developed feasible restructuring plan
  • evaluated operating improvements
  • created financial model to project operations after site redevelopment and expansion to include a new off track wagering facility
  • helped achieve concessions across 10+ union contracts
  • extensively negotiated with critical industry groups, state legislators and the Governor’s office
  • coordinated with the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority on turning over control of the operations while maintaining certain relations with practical continuity
  • collaborated with other operators affected by the overall horse racing restructuring within New Jersey 
  • participated in recruitment effort of new corporate officers
• Assisted in securing $45 million credit facility (senior and sub loans) and over $60 million of equity to capitalize the current entity
• Spearheaded a rigorous private equity due diligence process
• Served as point person for driving the strategic investment and negotiation of a casino management agreement with Hard Rock
• Helped structure and organize the new Food & Beverage program site-wide
• Was invited to join the Board of Managers in January 2012
